#104 Tip-In Project – “Dogwood Floral”

You may choose whichever verse you would like for this project. Here are four suggestions, chosen from the CBJ January Scripture Writing Plan.

Isaiah 51:11b (NIV) Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Psalm 56:3 (NIV) When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.

Psalm 42:5 (NLT) Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again – my Savior and my God.

Psalm 32:10 (NIV) Many are the woes of the wicked, but the Lord’s unfailing love surrounds the one who trusts in him.

THOUGHTS: Flowers are the universal gift to bring happiness. (and chocolate also LOL) This month, in the Creative Bible Journaling Facebook Scripture Writing Plan we are focusing on overcoming  Depression/Anxiety. I wanted to bring some of those verses over to this week’s Tip-In Project. I gave you four verses to choose from, but you may also use any other verse you would like to put with these wonderful Dogwood flowers.

CALL TO ACTION: As you work on this week’s Tip-In Project, please consider your own tendencies of depression/anxiety or just feeling sad/mad. God is with you every step of the way. He knows what it’s like to feel forsaken and persecuted. And He has brought you here to The Creative Bible Journaling for support and to give support to all you encounter on this wonderful journey we are all on. Let’s praise Him today for bringing the beauty of flowers and friends into our lives.

Remember Tip-Ins Tips from 2017:

You can free-hand this image and write the bible verse around it. OR you can print the free download printable and use that paper as your tip-in. OR you can print it out, and then use the “Graphite Method” (see website for instructions at >> http://wp.me/p7I46G-gI ) to transfer image directly onto your bible paper

Why use Tip-Ins? Answer: To add additional space for drawing/writing in your bible. Perhaps you don’t have a “journaling” bible, this is a way to add a drawing without actually drawing on the words of the bible paper. Perhaps you have already journaled on that page, or your illustrated bible already has a picture on that page that you want to use, you can just add a tip-in on top of that.

Tip ins can be of any type of paper, vellum, card, photo, etc. that you want to add into your Bible. I, myself, have used sketch paper; tracing paper; copy paper; and, illustrated print offs. When using these, I often use 1.5″ x 7″ cut paper for the margin of my journaling bible, or 3″ x 5″ to go across the bible page. However, according to the size of your Bible, you can adapt your tip in to your desired size.

Also, there are several ways to adhere tip ins into the Bible… you can use Washi tape, adhesive or Elmer’s glue, to name a few.
