Day #4 & #5 “Self Control” Lettering Style
This is the day to put all your lettering skills together! Here is the example below. We also have provided you with a PDF Printable, if you would like to print it out.
We suggest that you put your own pattern in the letters and/or color them with bright colored pencils, blending if you like. Please post your work in the facebook group. >>> https://www.facebook.com/groups/CBibleJ/permalink/787527121405042/

Day #3
JoAnna will be sharing Day #3 Lesson for today.
Using the self control alphabet, write a sentence or verse, making the first letter of each word with the “double line with pattern” alphabet and then the remaining letters in the word with just a “single line” of the same style. Here is my example using my for you. Blessings!

Is the name of this original font posted anywhere? Thanks!
Hi there, I’m glad you like this font. I really need to redo this tutorial, I didn’t have time to hand letter the work. (isn’t that sad as THAT is what this tutorial is showing… hand lettering! LOL) I got it on my to-do list. The name of the font is DJB Tootsie Wootsie, I did change it a bit from the original, but that’s the original typestyle.
PS, you didn’t sign in when you entered the website, so all your post says is from “someone”. I hope next time you post you come in with your name. It’s nice getting to know our readers.
When I click on the pdf download for the ABC’s they both are the same? Lowercase..
Robyn, thanks for pointing this out, I forgot that it needed fixed. I will get that done on Monday 🙂
I see that this error was reported a month ago – it’s now back to both pdf files being lower case
You are the winner of “Catch it twice” award! Thanks. I JUST fixed it. So the link for the upper/lower case letters is correct. And the link for the upper case letters is correct. Thanks for letting me know 🙂 Have fun learning “Self Control” 🙂
You’re right the ‘S’s’ are hard! Lol and thanks again for your awesome classes, God bless you Sister.
Robyn, who would have thought huh? And I have three of them in my first & last name!
I’m thankful that R’s are easy because between my first and last name there are 3 also, lol
Yes, Rs are fun and easy!
LOVED this video!
Great. Are you posting in the Facebook group? If you signed in before commenting, I could tell who I’m talking to.
Thank you!
Roseann, I’m thrilled you are enjoying the lettering lessons and videos!
Great video, Susan! Your videos are always great and easy to follow. I love this font. . .fun to create!
JoAnna, thanks my friend! I think we just may see some polka dots in our bibles soon!
Great job susan
Thanks AMBER! As always, I’m Happy when I can make simple videos that are very easy to follow. And Thrilled to see hand lettering in bibles all over the world because, in part, they learned the styles here. Thanks for all you and Chelsea doing in the Lettering Lodge in the Facebook group. http://www.facebook.com/groups/CbibleJ/
