About “Our Vision”

Bible + Art
“Two great things are better together.”

  Bible + Art

Susan: ”I have always believed in the Bible, lived by the Bible, read the Bible. But by the year 2015, I had a hard time digging into the scriptures just for the fun of it.  I had to find something to  use my creativity that would pique my interest in the scriptures again.

Jackie: “I have always loved creating art, all kinds of arts, with all kinds of medium. But, by the year 2015, my multi-media art supplies had taken over several craft rooms.  I had to find something to focus my artistic endeavors and find purpose in what I love to do.”

And just like the chocolate bar got in the peanut butter…

Susan and Jackie: “You got your Art in my Bible!” and then, “You got your Bible in my Art!”.  They both agreed… “Two great things are better together.” And the outcome was and still is Creative-Bible-Journaling, which they both love and want to share with you!

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10a (NIV) “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.”

“God’s Fridge”
The Story About Our Vision

Do you know someone who wants to be creative in their bible, but doesn’t feel “good enough” or creative enough to put pen to bible paper, or she does the art, but then won’t share it with others…

WELL, as most of us here are moms / grandmas, I think we can all relate to this: Your little Kindergarten child rushes in the door with their new artwork from the school day. “Mommy, Mommy, look what I made” they squeal joyously. You lavish them with praise, “Horray, that looks wonderful, you did such a great job on that art, let’s put it up on the refrigerator door. Your child can hardly wait to get the magnets on the four corners of the paper, so everyone can see their great work…

You never question their abilities or their intentions and are never embarrassed by their scribbles. You proudly share their newest creations with whoever comes through your door. You keep it up until the edges are crinkled and there is new art to put up. Even after you take it off your fridge, you wouldn’t think of throwing it away. After all, you feel the need to save it and relive these wonderful masterpieces showing your child’s progress and growth. RIGHT? Am I close to spot on?

Well, guess what?
ALL YOUR ART IS ALWAYS GOOD ENOUGH FOR GOD’S FRIDGE! NO MATTER WHAT!

Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
