What Personal Data We Collect and Why We Collect It

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form,  also the visitor’s IP address, and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

GPS LOCATION SERVICES
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

PERMISSION TO USE IMAGES and/or COMMENTS FROM ALL CBJ’s POST 
CBJ is always looking for great photo examples of activities/projects and comments/quotes from/for our members/subscribers/followers. All photos and comments posted to CBJ digital platforms have permission to be re-posted by CBJ, with a courtesy to the original artist/author. This includes CBJ Facebook page, Facebook group, Website, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, email and messaging.

Communications

`We may use your Personal Information that you provide to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and our website in cookies on your device. These are for your convenience and helps your device bring up the webpages faster the next time you visit our website. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen option cookies last for one year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed. No cookie information is readable or accessible by CBJ administrators.

CBJ uses Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies to remember a user’s behavior and it shares these insights with CBJ’s stats. In simple terms, Google Analytics mainly uses first-party cookies to generate reports on who visits our website and what they do once they get there.

Who we share your data with

CBJ shares only the necessary site data with third party providers. These may include Google Analytics, Mailchimp, WordPress, Memberpress, PayPal, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Youtube,

WordPress: If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. At no time can we see your passwords or credit card information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We collect information about you during the signup process as well as some basic activities such as the dates you make purchases, login to the site, or cancel/pause/resume your subscriptions with us.

What we collect and store

When you subscribe with us, we’ll ask you to provide an email address. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:
— Send you information about your account and subscriptions. This may include payment receipts, password reset emails, and payment reminders.

We store information about you for as long as your account exists.

Who on our team has access

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, site Owner/Administrators can access:
– Order information such as your membership subscriptions, payment dates and amounts, and username / email address.
– Any additional information added in your Member Profile can also be visible to the Administrator(s).

We share information with third parties who help us provide additional contact services to you; for example – Google Analytics, MailChimp, WordPress, MemberPress, PayPal

Payments

Akismet: 3rd Party Plug-in

Akismet collects information about visitors who comment on Sites that use our Akismet anti-spam service. The information they collect typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).
